Terms of Use
Effective August 29, 2026. These terms govern your use of the StageDeck website and StageDeck applications.
By using StageDeck, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or apps. The StageDeck service is operated by Lucas Rodrigues.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
You may use StageDeck only if you can form a binding agreement where you live and if your use complies with applicable law. If you use StageDeck for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.
2. The service
StageDeck provides a mobile control surface and macOS companion for local-network workflows. Features, supported operating systems, release channels, and integrations may change. A platform may be in prelaunch, beta, or general-availability status, and access is not guaranteed until the relevant download or store listing is published.
StageDeck is a control tool, not a safety system. Do not rely on it as the sole control for emergency response, life-critical equipment, security systems, or any workflow where a lost connection could cause injury or material damage.
3. Access, devices, and permissions
You are responsible for compatible devices, a functioning local network, and keeping your operating systems and apps current. StageDeck may require Local Network, Accessibility, or other platform permissions. Grant only the permissions needed for the actions you choose, and protect your devices and trusted pairings from unauthorized access.
You are responsible for commands issued through your paired devices and for verifying the result of any cue, presentation, or application action.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
If a platform offers a paid subscription or introductory offer, the applicable store listing and in-app purchase screen show the price, billing period, eligibility, and renewal terms before purchase. A trial or introductory offer is available only when the applicable store makes you eligible; it is not a universal promise.
Apple App Store and Google Play process purchases and renewals for their platforms. Manage or cancel a subscription through the store account used to purchase it. Reinstalling the app does not itself cancel a subscription. Store terms and refund rules apply to those transactions.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use StageDeck to:
- break the law, violate another person's rights, or bypass access controls;
- interfere with the website, updates endpoint, apps, networks, or other users;
- send automated or abusive requests, malicious code, or unwanted communications; or
- use the service in a way that creates an unreasonable safety, privacy, or security risk.
6. Ownership and license
StageDeck, its name, visual design, software, and content are owned by Lucas Rodrigues or its licensors. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the apps and website for your own lawful purposes. Source code or components that we publish under an open-source license are governed by that license. For other parts of the service, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works except where applicable law permits it or we give written permission.
7. Third-party services
StageDeck may interoperate with Apple, Google, ProPresenter, operating-system services, and other third-party software. Those services are controlled by their respective providers and may have separate terms, privacy policies, fees, or availability. StageDeck is not responsible for third-party changes or outages.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every workflow. You accept responsibility for maintaining a fallback control method for live or consequential work.
To the extent permitted by law, Lucas Rodrigues will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or business arising from your use of or inability to use StageDeck. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms when the service or applicable requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using StageDeck after an update, you agree to the revised terms.
Terms-related intake will open before the first supported release. See also the Privacy Policy and Support page.
